im bored and had a pretty bad week so here's some lore on sg fragmentation au! introducing the horrible sg bot combiner trio! all of them are terrible as people(?) but insist on being the sane one!

sg superion: a bundle of barely repressed rage, superion is only viewed by the autobots as a weapon of mass destruction and a means to win the war, and he himself is very aware of this fact. superion has no love for the autobots and constantly thinks of leaving the faction. he's also very aware that the autobots are the bad guys. that being said, he is by no means a good mech himself or willing to join the decepticons, and frankly is somewhat frightened by the potential consequences should he fail to escape. feeling trapped, he reluctantly resigns to his fate and takes all of his frustrations in life out during battle, just so everyone can feel the same misery he does. in other words he basically uses battles as opportunities for his destructive tantrums. also constantly talks shit about his colleagues. an asshole with some degree of self awareness, but an asshole nonetheless. very much a 'i feel like shit so i will make it everyone else's problem' guy.

sg defensor: a soft-spoken sadist who occasionally bursts into fits of unhinged laughter, defensor enjoys pretending to rescue both humans and cybertronians amidst battles between the autobots and decepticons, and 1. just. stand there and do nothing while people cry for help. 2. make the situation worse (like adding gasoline to fires) or 3. kidnap them and use them as hostages. seeing helpless ones hopefully seek rescue only to be abandoned to a worse fate gives him the kicks. to keep up the disguise, neither defensor himself nor his components wear faction badges. does not particularly care about the factional conflicts, but is aware that the autobots are more willing to tolerate his cruelty than the decepticons and thus tries to remain in the bots' good graces. he enjoys collecting hostages and locking them up for observation or medical testing to satisfy his curiosity. however, defensor's true fascination is looking into the physiology and psychology of combiners, which increased tenfold since learning about the existence of fragmentation. very much looks forward to the day he can capture a decepticon combiner, though he would resolve to 'taking care' of one of the other two pn his side when push comes to shove.

sg computron: one of the most unhinged mechs among the autobot science division, and considering the characters we have there, that's not an easy feat to accomplish. immoral and hellbent on pushing out as many battle plans and machine blueprints as possible regardless of quality, computron started experimenting on himself in order to slow down and even reverse fragmentation, which unfortunately resulted in part of his internal engines and circuits actually becoming damaged. part of his logic circuits are genuinely fried. most of the things and plans computron make don't work properly or even make sense most of the time, but despite his inefficiency and incompetence, computron has a huge ego. considers himself above pretty much every scientist who ever existed, and even the notorious autobot scientists don't want to touch him with a ten foot pole, as any potential collaboration would be a nightmare. he's really only kept around due to his instability making him an unpredictable foe in battle, otherwise he would have been scrapped a long time ago.

SG Energon/Superlink: the fourth combiner survives here but gets enslaved by Emperor Q like he did to Rodimus and company. Thus they get more fire power in the form Defensor/Defensor Maximus, depending on what you want to call him!

I forgot that there were initially four guardian Combiners in Energon/Superlink, but it’s been a while since I’ve watched Energon. I think I’ll just stick with Defensor for simplicity sake.

To expand on this, I would think that while SG Superion and Defensor are technically allies when they initially meet, their relationship is rather rocky and they don’t see eye to eye most of the time. Frenemies, to put it simply. As a result, when Defensor ends up under Emperor Q’s control, Superion isn’t concerned about trying to free him. Rather, he finds some delightful revenge in it.

That being said, now that Superion is on the Autobot side, he’s annoyed at Defensor getting in his and by extension the Autobots’ way. I guess it’s kind of a “the more things change, the more things stay the same” kind of situation.

SG-Revenge of Bruticus aka A Good Offense: With the newly bult Combaticons in tow the Decepticons engage in a fight against the Autobots and their new Protectobots. When the Protectobots merge into their combined form of Defensor the Combaticons own merged form of Bruticus is the only thing around that can stand up to him while the other Decepticons try to keep the other Autobots from interfering.

Revenge of Bruticus is one of my favourite episodes (and really should have been the series 2 finale), so the idea of it in Shattered Glass AU just sounds fantastic.

thought of doing some intros for the components of the fragmentation AUs but the baseline ones are pretty close to their canon description so im shifting gears to the sg one

introducing the SG Aerialbots of the Fragmentation AU! this SG runs on 'pretty much opposite of baseline' and thinking about some of them make me snicker just by how weird they are.

sg silverbolt: treacherous for funsies. sabotages and even attempted to kill the other combiners in the base just because he finds it fun and likes the challenge. tried shooting defensor once and got locked in a jar for weeks. dunno if he has reached starscream level of comically absurd treachery, but he's at the very least getting there. pretty much lives in the brig/prison of the base because he is that big of a nuisance.

sg skydive: the only reason he would ever pick up a book is to throw it at someone. has no patience to try to plan out his actions and usually brute forces his way through every problem and battle even when it results in a lot of mechs getting hurt. unironically thinks that his usual tactics are pretty good even when it usually doesn't work. everyone else sees him as an idiot. he has no self awareness.

sg air raid: a coward that needs to be dragged to duty due to his strong fear of death. fights only because he is told to and is extremely stressed the whole time. when not on duty he hides inside his room, and considering how he was maimed or got caught in the crossfire of several fights within the base, his fear is not exactly unfounded.

sg slingshot: somewhat of a suck up people(?) pleaser, but considering the characters that are the sg autobots, he's doing so out of a strong sense of self preservation and ensuring that he himself is at least useful enough to not be scrapped given how unhinged some of his compatriots are. tries to convince his brothers to not do stupid things that might get them punished. has not succeeded once.

sg fireflight: a normal guy. so normal that he's just boring. treats the war with the same energy as the average person on a nine to five retail shift. has not reached baseline dead end's level of nihilistic apathy but generally does not care much about the war or anything happening around him. he's just going through the motions of your average war crimes.

In relation to @dramamelon‘s post about the new third-party Thunderclash figure that’s on pre-order right now...

So, I’m trying to be selective about the toys that I buy. I grabbed a bunch of mass-market stuff that I took to work - the Cyber-Battalion Prowl and Jetfire, and RID Skywarp and Soundwave, for example - and I have the Titans Return Soundwave and Blaster at home. But for the higher-end stuff I am trying to only pick up characters that I really, really want, and that meet specific criteria. 

I mean, I did some serious drooling over the renders of Iron Warrior’s “Pioneer” figure, which is a TFP Optimus Prime statue. But it doesn’t transform, and I really only want toys that can transform. And although I am 110% positive that this thing is going to have LEDs so that the Star Sabre lights up... It doesn’t transform. So I won’t be getting it, gorgeous though it is.

Anyway, I already have the GCreations “Rebel” (IDW Prowl) on pre-order. (I mean, how could I not?) But here’s a quick list of other figures that I am actively looking for, and will buy if they become available in a store where shipping to Canada wouldn’t force me to take out another mortgage. Yes, I know that some of these don’t exist yet:

*Bluestreak. I know that MP-18 is still available in a lot of places, but I want to make sure when/if I get him that the shipping wouldn’t kill me.

*Hound. I would love to get my hands on FanToys Willis version of Hound, but I missed the boat on that one. Maybe Takara will give Hound the same treatment they just gave Sunstreaker, because wow - Sunny’s figure is amazing. (Ha ha!)

*Jazz. I have been... Unimpressed (?) with all the Jazz figures, for some reason. Waiting for one to knock my socks off.

*Defensor. I discussed this at length with my spouse, and I am really leaning towards buying the whole Defensor set from Generation Toy. (Even if Groove is hilariously oversized in vehicle form). That’s gonna be majorly $$$... I gotta think about this one. :/

*Thundercracker with Buster. Listen, Hasbro. I want to sit my TC figure down and have him hold out his hand so that Buster can sit in it and he can pet his dog and WHY ARE YOU DENYING ME??

*Shattered Glass Soundwave. C’mon. Enough Optimus repaints. Give me SG Soundwave with a cute little white Ravage. 

*Hearts of Steel Starscream. Yes, this is another one that was done already, but a long time ago so I can’t buy it new. And the reviews said it was really fragile, so I don’t know that I want to risk buying used. 

*True Form Starscream (IDW). From issue 12 of Till All Are One, I would love to have a toy of Sara’s design for Starscream’s “true self.”

I think my wallet is safe on some of these.. I don’t think we’re ever getting a True Form Starscream or another Hearts of Steel Starscream. 

In other news, I finally got around to ordering the Patlabor toy I’ve been wanting for years, so there’s that. :)

Terra Indígena Jaraguá registra caso de coronavírus

Representantes da Terra Indígena (TI) Jaraguá, na zona norte de São Paulo, comunicaram nesta quarta-feira (22) o primeiro caso da Covid-19 na comunidade, mediante testagem. Segundo o guarani Thiago Henrique Karai Djekupe, o indígena contaminado, cuja idade não foi divulgada, não apresenta sintomas graves da doença e “está bem”.

Karai Djekupe informou que o paciente havia feito o teste “semanas atrás”, mas que o resultado foi entregue somente nesta quarta (22). O guarani disse que a comunidade já calculava que o novo coronavírus poderia atingi-la, devido à suscetibilidade em que se encontra, atualmente agravada pelo ritmo de propagação viral observado no município de São Paulo.

“É triste a notícia, mas também já era algo esperado, por estarmos na terra indígena mais exposta no momento, no meio da cidade de São Paulo, no meio dessa grande metrópole, onde mais vêm ocorrendo os casos de covid. Estando nessa situação, já era previsto que a covid-19 ia chegar até a nossa comunidade, que ia nos alcançar e que íamos passar por esse momento”, disse Karai Djekupe.

Karai lembrou que o vírus não ataca somente idosos, e que no dia 9, o adolescente yanomami Alvaney Xiriana Pereira, de 15 anos, morreu por causa do coronavírus.   

Urgência de testes

Em nota, representantes da comunidade informaram que “outros casos sintomáticos estão em análise e sob os cuidados necessários”. Eles acrescentam que têm dificuldade de mensurar o impacto da covid-19 no local, pela demora dos resultados dos exames.

“Os testes em casos sintomáticos seguem em uma demora de aproximadamente 15 dias para resposta. Esse tempo é inadmissível frente a crise pandêmica instaurada no país. Sem teste rápido não há como identificar quem deve permanecer em isolamento e devido tratamento. Sem um espaço específico e adequado para isolamento não há prevenção e cuidado, sem isolamento, sem prevenção e sem cuidados, há contaminação”, diz a nota.

A demora na entrega de resultados de exames da Covid-19 tem sido criticada por defensores dos direitos indígenas. No caso de uma mulher do povo borari, a demora foi questionada pelo Ministério Público Federal (MPF), justificando a abertura de um inquérito, em março. Ela era considerada uma guardiã de Alter do Chão, em Santarém (PA), e tinha 87 anos.

Sesai

Oficialmente, a Secretaria Especial de Saúde Indígena (Sesai) reconhece apenas quatro mortes por Covid-19 entre indígenas. Até a tarde desta quarta (22), constavam do balanço da pasta 20 casos suspeitos, 42 confirmados, 90 descartados e oito recuperações.

A Sesai disse que tem buscado “respeitar as especificidades dos povos indígenas” e que “atualiza constantemente seus documentos orientadores, estabelecendo novas ações a partir das deliberações estabelecidas pelo seu comitê de crise”.

Até o momento, segundo a Sesai, o total de kits de testes rápidos reservados para a população indígena é de 10.380 unidades. Além dos kits, a pasta distribuiu 8,9 mil unidades de máscaras N95 e máscaras cirúrgicas e 96,4 mil luvas de procedimento.

“A Sesai permanece trabalhando para atender aos mais de 800 mil indígenas aldeados e presentes em todo o Brasil. Para isso, vem orientando atenção máxima às equipes multidisciplinares de saúde indígena e demais profissionais que atuam para o cumprimento do Plano de Contingência Nacional para Infecção Humana pelo Novo Coronavírus em Povos Indígenas”, disse, acrescentando que os agentes estão sendo orientados a priorizar o trabalho de busca ativa domiciliar de casos de Síndrome Gripal (SG) e Síndrome Respiratória Aguda Grave (SRAG).

combiners/gestalts (term used interchangeably) start off as one consciousness that can both function as an independent (albeit really big) transformer and coordinate its separate components in some sort of hivemind

HOWEVER overtime the components start developing their consciousness and personalities. Neither gestalts in either faction are aware of this potential development and they are freaking out their body parts attempting to communicate. Chaos ensues.

there is a lot more to this AU like the fact that Devastator was essentially created from the Constructicons' corpses but like. that's the core concept.

oh yeah and i made an SG version as well running on the same lore but with sg characterizations for characters involved. because a good section of my brain permanently houses plot bunnies and i had a vision of sg defensor being creepy.

6º Organic Food Fest oferece alta gastronomia orgânica

Festival reúne casas em São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro com receitas sustentáveis e livres de agrotóxicos a preços acessíveis

A 6ª edição do Organic Food Fest acontece de 19/janeiro a 04/fevereiro de 2018 em 30 restaurantes do eixo Rio-SP. A organização informa que vai reunir mais de 150 receitas inéditas e sustentáveis. A proposta de incentivar uma alimentação saudável e um consumo sustentável. Os chefs precisarão criar um menu-degustação exclusivo em 3 tempos com, pelo menos, metade dos ingredientes de origem orgânica, proveniência agroecológica ou de pequenos produtores. Os menus terão o preço fixo de R$ 55 no almoço ou R$ 88 no jantar (por pessoa), dependendo da escolha da casa. Bebidas e 10% de serviço à parte.

As chefs e apresentadoras do canal GNT, Bela Gil, dos hotéis Best Western, e Tati Lund, do .Org Bistrô, participam com menus exclusivos no Rio de Janeiro. Em São Paulo, as casas Antonietta Cucina, Clos, Condessa Bistrô, Comedoro, Félix Bistrot, Jacarandá, La Piadina, Le Bou Bistrô, Mercearia do Conde, Nambu, Solo e Tavares Restaurante são alguns dos participantes desta edição, que vão adaptar ou ampliar seus menus de base orgânica para atender às regras do festival. Para ser orgânico, o produto não pode ter recebido adubo químico, agrotóxico, hormônio, antibiótico, insumo geneticamente modificado, radiação ou qualquer aditivo sintético. Na maioria dos casos, em edições anteriores, os chefs bateram as metas mínimas e conseguiram apresentar pratos de 80 a 100% orgânicos.

O objetivo é disseminar o uso de alimentos orgânicos no país e incentivar uma alimentação saudável e um consumo sustentável. Nascido em Hamburgo, Börner cresceu em meio a muito verde, numa casa com horta e pomares. Foi influenciado também pelo pai arquiteto e defensor de projetos ecológicos e sustentáveis. Radicado no Brasil desde 1985, Börner foi o fundador, em 1997, do Grupo Mica, e diretor comercial do Restaurant Week, o maior festival gastronômico do Brasil.  Estranhou, ao chegar no Brasil, que este país tropical, em vez de ser o maior produtor de orgânicos do planeta, fosse líder mundial no uso de agrotóxicos. Resolveu investir no setor, que cresce, em média, 30% ao ano. Desde a sua primeira edição, o Off já reuniu mais de 70 restaurantes, 400 receitas e 20 mil consumidores.
